When this incident occurred, I must have been about 6 or 7 years old. At the time, my family and I were living in an apartment building near Sandy Springs / Dunwoody, Georgia. I walked with my mom to the bus stop to go to school, holding her left hand with my right, since she was on my right.
Suddenly, about 5-10 feet (1.5-3 m) away (there was a residential building about 15-20 feet (4.5-6 m) away), to the right of me and my mother, something like two or three humanoid creatures covered in something appeared. They seemed to be wearing white clothes and radiated a bright light around their bodies. This bright light probably caught my attention in the first place. I pointed to them and asked my mother what kind of people they were, something like these lines.
My mother remembered me asking her about it, but she didn't see anything. She told me that she just felt a very strong presence. The fact that she was with me and remembers me asking her these questions is proof to me that it wasn't a hallucination or a dream.
One of these creatures stood in front of the other 1-2 creatures behind it. I can't remember the appearance of the creatures behind me, but I could clearly see the face of the one in front. He seemed very human, very youthful. He had curly hair and a blank look until he noticed me looking at him, and then his eyes widened as if he was surprised that I noticed him watching us. As if I shouldn't have seen them when I and the creature in front of me met eyes. Everything on their upper torsos was white with some sort of mixture of gray tones, including their faces. They were almost transparent, as one would imagine a typical ghostly figure.
I only mentioned "upper torso" because I don't recall them having arms or legs, including feet. Because of this, they also seemed to float.
I turned my head for one second and then quickly came back, but when I did, I remember seeing them sort of floating or hovering down some stairs that were nearby. After that, I lost my seat.
These creatures seemed to be a kind of conscience, aware of their surroundings, and didn't want to be seen by me or anyone else, but they did seem to be here for a reason. I don't remember anything before or after the event, but my mother told me that it started out as a normal day, and after I got home from school, she told me that I asked her again about the creatures.
I have some sketches that I drew, but I can't find them yet. When I do, I'll be sure to send them over if necessary. Meanwhile, if you have any useful information that I could use about what on Earth I saw that day, please send me something, as it has been in my head since my early teens.
I am now in my early 20s, and although I have had a few unexplained incidents in my life, none of them were as vivid as they were. I haven't seen anything like this at this level since.

Suddenly, about 5 to 10 ft away (there was an apartment building about 15 to 20 ft being them) to the right side of my mother and I, there were what seemed to be 2 or 3 of these humanoid beings which were covered in what seemed to be white robes and emitting bright light around their bodies. This bright light is what probably caught my attention in the first place. I pointed to them and asked my mother what those people were, something a long those lines. My mother remembered me asking her this but she did not see anything. She told me she just felt a very strong presence. The fact that she was there with me and remembers me asking her these questions is proof to me that it was not a hallucination or dream. One of these beings was standing in front of the other 1 or 2 beings behind it. I cannot remember the appearance of the beings in the back but I could clearly see the face of the one standing in front. It seemed very human-like, youthful. It had curly hair and a blank stare until it noticed that I was looking at it and then its eyes widened as if it was surprised that I had noticed it observing us. Like I was not suppose to be able to see them once me and the being in front made eye contact. Everything on their upper torso was white with a grey tone kind of mixture, including their faces.
