Initial data
As they were driving home from a friend's house in another city, the couple noticed what they initially thought was a fire. Forced to check it out, the driver headed in the direction of this place. His girlfriend changed her mind and didn't want to get close. She just wanted to leave and report it to the local authorities.
As the driver continued towards the fire, he saw several flashing lights. He thought it might be a police car or a fire truck.
He stopped the car and got out when he saw two figures that he thought were police officers approaching him. As they got closer, he thought they might be children. When they got close enough to see clearly, he realized they weren't human and panicked.
He quickly returned to his car and told his girlfriend to get in the back seat, lie down on the floor and hide under a blanket. The two figures had large heads; they had no hair, and their eyes glowed red when the car headlights shone on them. Somehow he knew they were after the girl, not him.
They went to the car and tried to open it. They didn't seem to know how to open the car. They kept running their hands over the glass, waiting for it to open.
The driver described the creatures as being under five feet (1.5 m) tall, with large pear-shaped heads and huge eyes that curved around their heads like insects. The driver could hear voices in his head telling him to open the door. When he refused, they tried to convince him that the car was really unlocked, and he should lock it by turning the lock the other way.
They then tried to scare him by instilling images of danger, as if the car was on fire. The driver felt dizzy, and the next thing he knew, he was out of the car and alone.
The next thing he could remember, the Sun was shining and the girl was back in the car and they were driving home.
