Mientras conducían a casa desde la casa de un amigo en otra ciudad, la pareja notó lo que al principio pensaron que era un incendio. Obligado a comprobarlo, el conductor se dirigió hacia ese lugar. Su novia cambió de opinión y no quería acercarse. Ella solo quería irse y denunciarlo a las autoridades locales.
Cuando el conductor continuó conduciendo hacia el fuego, vio algunas luces parpadeantes. Pensó que podría ser un coche de policía y bomberos.
Detuvo el auto y salió cuando vio a dos figuras que creía que eran policías acercándose a él. Cuando se acercaron, pensó que podrían haber sido niños. Cuando se acercaron lo suficiente como para ver claramente, se dio cuenta de que no eran humanos y entró en pánico.
Rápidamente regresó a su auto y le dijo a su novia que se sentara en el asiento trasero, se tumbara en el Suelo y se escondiera debajo de una manta. Las dos figuras tenían cabezas grandes; no tenía pelo y sus ojos brillaban de rojo cuando los faros de los automóviles brillaban sobre ellos. De alguna manera sabía que estaban cazando a la chica, no a él.
Se acercaron al auto e intentaron abrirlo. Parecía que no sabían cómo abrir el auto. Continuaron con sus manos sobre el vidrio, esperando que se abriera.
El conductor describió a la criatura de menos de cinco pies (1,5 m) de altura, con grandes cabezas en forma de pera y enormes ojos curvados alrededor de la cabeza, como los de los insectos. El conductor podía escuchar voces en su cabeza que le decían que abriera la puerta. Cuando se negó, se trató de convencerlo de que el auto no estaba realmente bloqueado y que tenía que cerrarlo girando la Cerradura hacia el otro lado.
Luego trataron de asustarlo, inculcándole imágenes de peligro como si el auto estuviera ardiendo. El conductor se sintió mareado y lo siguiente que se dio cuenta fue que estaba fuera del automóvil y estaba solo.
Lo siguiente que pudo recordar fue que el Sol estaba brillando y la niña regresó al auto y condujeron a casa.

Summary: While driving home from a friend’s house in another town, a couple spotted what they thought at first was a brush fire. Being compelled to check it out, the driver headed towards the area. His girlfriend has second thoughts and didn’t want to go near. She just wanted to leave and report it to the local authorities. As the driver continued toward the fire, he saw a numbers of flashing lights. He thought it might be the police and fire department. He stopped the car and got out when he saw two figures that he thought were police officers approaching him. As they got closer he thought they might have been kids. When they were close enough to see clearly, he realized that they were not human and panicked. He quickly got back into his car and told his girlfriend to get into the back seat, get on the floor and hide under a blanket. The two figures had large heads; no hair and their eyes glowed red when the car lights shined on them. He somehow knew that they were after the girl and not him. They approached the car and tried to get it opened. They seemed as though they did not know how to open the car. They kept passing their hands over the glass expecting it to open. The driver described the beings as under five-feet tall, with large pear shaped heads, and eyes that were huge and curved around their heads like insects. The driver could hear voices inside his head telling him to open the door. When he refused, they tried to convince him that the car was really unlocked and he should lock it by moving the lock the other way. Then they tried to scare him out by putting images of danger in his mind, like the car was on fire. The driver began to feel very light headed and the next thing he knew was that he was outside of the car and he was alone. The next thing he could recall was that the Sun was shining and the girl was back in the car and they were driving home.
