Initial data
At about 23:20, a resident of Dowling V.H. was outside and looking at the star-studded sky when a strange light appeared out of nowhere...
"Like when you turn on the lights," he said.
It was in the western part of the sky, about 3/4 of the height from the horizon. Then it got brighter and bigger and went out. Where the light disappeared, another light appeared, which was much smaller than the star. This second light went slightly to the right at an angle of 45° and disappeared.
The observation lasted about 5 seconds.
