Scientists have captured a rare find on the ocean floor

Publication The Daily Mail has published rare footage — a video shot at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean. While studying the ocean floor, scientists from Norway came across a strange gelatin bag with liquid. Members of the research expedition captured the find on a video camera.

The size is impressive — the egg is bigger than a diver! When illuminated with a flashlight inside the bag, scientists were able to see 10 squid eggs safely hidden inside a large ball. Similarly, squids protect their offspring from external influences, the jelly-like body is filled with gelatin liquid from the inside.

Such finds are very rare, because usually mollusks hide their offspring very reliably. According to experts, such eggs with a surprise have been found only a few times in the history of scientific observations.
