Observers Doroshevich Alexander Nikolaevich (2 aircraft pilot) and his sister.

The duration of the observation is about 4 seconds.

The nature of the appearance and movement: Appeared suddenly in the field of view in the southwestern part of the sky (relative to the place of observation - the sanatorium "Berezka"). At an altitude of 20-25 ° to the horizon, a barely noticeable star appeared, which for the first fraction of a second quickly moved into the southern part of the sky. The idea arose that it was a meteorite (the angular velocity of movement was quite high). However, in the following fractions of a second, the equally slow movement of the asterisk was clearly noticeable. Moreover, its brightness increased in proportion to the decrease in speed. Also, in proportion to the decrease in speed, there was a simultaneous increase in the size of the asterisk itself, which in general can be explained by its approach to the city during the flight.

Now it was no longer an asterisk, but most likely some kind of body, the angular dimensions of which,

in comparison with the visible fragment of the Moon (half of it was visible), they made up about an eighth of it. This size was maintained until the end of the observation. The body was moving towards the southern part of the sky on an inclined downward trajectory (an angle of inclination of about 20 degrees to the horizon). in sections 2 and 4 of the trajectory (see figure), the movement was straight and uniform. The speed of movement was as if a billiard ball was rolling down an inclined chute

(degrees below 30), keeping constant the speed that it would have acquired 1-2 seconds after the start of movement.

At the end of section 2, the brightness increased dramatically, after which the body disappeared (or rather, its glow stopped). By inertia, I mentally shifted my gaze along the trajectory further down and, to my surprise, I noticed again the same brightness moving along the same trajectory (also straight and evenly). Soon, hiding behind trees and houses, it disappeared from view in the area of the southern outskirts of the city. In the figure, section 1 is the stage of equally slow motion, section 3 is the disappearance from the field of view.

Appearance: The angular dimensions are described earlier.

The color is white, iridescent with a bluish-purple tint.

Brightness: very bright, at least against the background of the night sky.

During the movement along the entire 4th section, the body was shrouded in a milky flight veil. The angular dimensions of this light spot around the descending body were about half the angular dimensions of the full moon. There was either no light spot on the 1st and 2nd sections, or I did not notice it. Not during the flight of the body,

not after his disappearance from the field of view was there a single sound having at least some relation to an object flying in the atmosphere (there was no noise, whistling, "pops", etc.).

Weather conditions: 1) At the time of observation, there was a ground haze (lights and contours of houses at a distance of 2-3 km were clearly visible). The sky is cloudless. There was a halo around the Moon (a frequently observed optical phenomenon of the atmosphere). The transparency of the atmosphere made it possible to observe the constellation Taurus (Trainees). There was no wind. The temperature is minus 6 - minus 7 °C.

2) After 1 hour: fog, visibility no more than 800-1000 m.

Some information about Soba: I saw flights of airplanes and helicopters of many types, as well as launches of spacecraft and satellites from Baikonur (about 50 km to Karaganda). Comparing the pictures of their flights with the one described above, I can say for sure: This is not an airplane, not a helicopter, not a rocket. I was on vacation in Karaganda in November 1979.
