Initial data
A group of young Christian youth going hiking in the mountains came across what appeared to be a shelter for "something very big" and then noticed a "snowman" in the distance.
The seven-minute video, which remained underground until 2011, was filmed by Campus Life youth group leader Jim Mills after the incident in 2001. It is reported that after that, research teams were deployed to the scene in the Marble Mountains in Northern California.
The animal the group spotted was reportedly "much taller than any human, with long arms hanging below the waist, and appeared to be covered in thick fur."
Apparently, he was "extremely excited" at the sight of the boys in the camp. After experts were invited to inspect the site and the footage, it was determined that the size of the creature was approximately eight feet tall and weighed almost 700 pounds (317.5 kg).
Odd Encounters reports that Animal Planet network investigators have reviewed the recording and examined the place where the incident occurred. In the clip, Jim can be heard saying:
"Some creature took and stacked tons and tons of leaves and branches to either disguise itself or create a place to hide. When we were looking at the trees, we noticed claw marks."
Jim said there were no "human footprints" and everything was "broken by a mighty, mighty force."
He was then alerted to a "walking snowman" and turned the camera around, noting that the group "sees something walking on the hill above."
He noted that the trees used to build the makeshift hut were "broken like branches" without axes.
The figure walks like a human and looks the same, but the group is convinced that it is a mythical creature.
"He's shaking his fist at us, yelling at us," Jim says. "He's jumping up and down, he's furious. He knows we're in his [camp]. He doesn't look like a man, his hands are too big. Look how far his arms hang."
Jim calls on his entourage to dispel any thoughts about putting the beast to sleep. The next morning, he declares that the snowman did not interfere with the group.
Original news
A young Christian youth group on a backpacking trip in the mountains stumbled across what appeared to be a shelter for "something very large" before spotting 'Bigfoot' in the distance.
A seven-minute video, that remained underground until 2011, was shot by the Campus Life youth group leader Jim Mills, after the incident in 2001. After the sighting, research squads were reportedly helicoptered into the site in the Marble Mountains, Northern California.
The beast that the group spotted reportedly "stood much taller than any man, with long arms dangling below its waist, and appeared to be covered in a thick fur."
Apparently, it became "extremely agitated" at the sight of the boys in the camp. After specialists were brought in to examine the site, and the footage, it was estimated the size of the creature was approximately eight feet tall, weighing nearly 700 pounds (317.5kg).
Odd Encounters reports that investigators from the Animal Planet network have viewed the tape and examined the area where the incident took place. In the clip, Jim can be heard saying: "Some kind of creature has taken and piled tons and tons of leaves and branches to either camoflauge or make a place to hide.
"We noticed claw marks when we looked at the trees."
He pointed out that the trees used for the makeshift hut were "snapped like twigs" without hatchets.
Jim said there were no "human marks" and everything was "snapped by mighty, mighty strength".
He was then alerted to "Bigfoot walking" and turned his camera, noting that the group "see something walking on the hill above".
Jim then zooms into a silhouetted figure on the far away mountain.
The figure walks like a human, and also looks like one - but the group are convinced it is the mythical creature.
"He's shaking his fist at us, he's screaming at us," Jim says. "He's jumping up and down, he is furious. He knows we're in his [camp]."
"It does not look like a person, his arms are too big. Look how far his hands hang down."
Jim encourages his entourage to dispel any thoughts of tranqulising the beast. The next morning, he states that Bigfoot did not interfere with the group.
Hypotheses
Famous creatures

There are a huge number of different living organisms on our planet. According to recent estimates, the number of species of organisms on our planet is approximately 7-10 million. However, only 15% of the data are described today.
According to the calculations of Canadians, 2.2 million species live in the world's oceans, 6.5 million on land. There are only about 7.8 million species of animals on the planet, 611 thousand fungi, and 300 thousand plants.
Deliberate falsification

This version includes any falsifications that imitate unexplained phenomena both from the outside: practical jokes, flash mobs, fake news, witness fraud, staging, etc.
There are many ways to make something similar to a ghost or a flying saucer from improvised materials, without using video and photomontage.
Many homemade things made for the sake of a joke, a practical joke or a direct imitation of a mystical being or event can be taken as unexplained not only in photos and videos, but also in reality.
