Initial data
A woman who attended a film festival at the Aerospace Museum claims to have seen a ghostly face in the cockpit of the Concorde Alpha Foxtrot.
Caroline Harding from Staple Hill was watching the movie "Best Shooter: Maverick" as part of the Bristol Film Festival on March 21 when she photographed the iconic plane.
She didn't notice anything unusual until she came home and looked at the picture more closely. To her surprise, she saw what looked like a man sitting in the pilot's seat, even though no one was allowed to board the plane that night.
Caroline said:
"It was very creepy to see that face when I knew there was no one there. I don't really believe in ghosts, but it made me wonder if there could be some connection with a former Concorde pilot or something like that."
She added that the face was strikingly reminiscent of the face of her grandfather, who was also a pilot. She sent a photo to her mother, who agreed that it looked like him.
"There is a specific image that I can remember — he is in uniform, and he looks very much like my grandfather," Caroline said.
Caroline believes that the face is probably formed by the reflection of light or some other optical illusion. However, she admitted that it was a strange coincidence that it happened in the Aerospace Museum, where many historical aircraft and aviation history are kept.
The Concorde Alpha Foxtrot was the last of its kind to fly and decommissioned in 2003. Now it is on display in the museum, where visitors can explore its interior and learn about its history. The museum also hosts various events throughout the year, including film screenings and workshops.
Is a ghost haunting Concorde at the Bristol Aerospace Museum? Or is it just a trick of the light? You can decide for yourself by visiting the museum and taking your own photos. Just don't be surprised if you see something unexpected in the cockpit.

Pareidolic illusion

A variety of visual illusions (the so-called "sensory illusions additions"); is the formation of illusory images, as a basis which are the details of the real object. Thus, the vague and obscure the visual image is perceived as something distinct and defined — for example, figures of people and animals in the clouds, the image of a man on the moon, "a hidden message", audible when you reverse the audio recordings, the shadows formed by leaves or complexes of objects in certain lighting (sometimes at a certain angle).

Re-reflections in lens lenses from a strong light source

The lens consists of a set of lenses (in some lenses - of mirrors), designed for mutual compensation of aberrations and assembled into a single system.
From the contour light (bright light sources behind the subject or next to it), caught in the frame or located outside the frame, parasitic reflections from the internal elements of the lens are formed, called glare (or in slang "hares").
