Initial data
August 24 , 1996 Time: 21:32.
Location: Hanmer, Ontario.
Weather: Clear and warm.
I saw and videotaped an orange light as it flew between the Moon and Jupiter from northwest to southeast. It was like a faint oval light with a halo around it. Twice it became almost as bright as Jupiter. Its appearance reminded me of the Hale-Bopp comet, except for the color. There was no sound.
