UFO over Waterbury
The current wave of sightings of unidentified flying objects has even reached our beautiful city, it seems, with the report that they were spotted overhead last week.
We don't know the truth. The Air Force has a team that constantly checks all reports and looks for explanations. Some remain unexplained, perhaps because the information is inaccurate or incomplete.
Recently, photos of unexplained objects were published. We have not heard whether the Air Force has found an answer to these questions.
But we remember Grandfather Waterbury's UFO. As early as 1916, Scoville was very busy supplying military supplies to the Allies, and the city was thriving. One night, an observation of an airship was reported over the factory in the East End. There was a lot of excitement. Later, the reasoning heads of the rnsh announced that the audience had seen the evening star Venus.

UFO's Over Waterbury
The current spate of Unidentified Flying Object sightings has reached even our fair city, it seems, with the report that they were seen overhead last week.
We don't know the truth of the matter. The Air Force has a task crew constantly engaged in checking out all reports and seeking explanations. Some remain unexplained, possibly because the information is inaccurate or incomplete.
Recently photographs of unexplained objects have been published. We have not heard whether or not the Air Force has found the answer to those.
But we are reminded of Waterbury's Grand Daddy UFO. Back in 1916, Scovill's was very busy turning out war material for the Allies, and the city was prospering mightily. One night a Zeppelin was reported over the East End plant. There was a lot of excitement. Later, reasoning heads figured out that the viewers had seen the evening star, Venus.
Hypotheses
The airship

The aircraft lighter than air, which is a combination of the balloon with the mover (usually a screw with an electric motor or internal combustion engine) and the system of the orientation control (steering control), through which the airship can move in any direction regardless of the direction of air flow.
The shape of the airships are divided into:
The heavenly bodies

The brightest heavenly bodies in the sky are Venus, Jupiter, and sometimes Mars and, of course, the Moon.
Venus is the bright yellow of the evening or morning star, shining in the sky on the background of evening or dawn. Maximum brightness of Venus can reach up to 4.3 m, and she is the third brightness of the sun in earth's sky after the sun and the moon. It so well reflects the light of the Sun that it is relatively easy to see and day, especially if you know the location. It manifests itself in the form of tiny blinking white dots.
