BRIGHT STAR - For several evenings, soon after night fall, a bright star of comet-like appearance has been visible in the north west.
Hypotheses
The heavenly bodies

The brightest heavenly bodies in the sky are Venus, Jupiter, and sometimes Mars and, of course, the Moon.
Venus is the bright yellow of the evening or morning star, shining in the sky on the background of evening or dawn. Maximum brightness of Venus can reach up to 4.3 m, and she is the third brightness of the sun in earth's sky after the sun and the moon. It so well reflects the light of the Sun that it is relatively easy to see and day, especially if you know the location. It manifests itself in the form of tiny blinking white dots.
Investigation
We managed to find the following information about comets from the website stavarhiv.ru:
On August 03, 1853, residents of the city of Stavropol had the opportunity to observe the comet. This event was described by Radzevich in the Stavropol provincial Vedomosti. As the author wrote: "Its position was in the northwest; it towered above the horizon by 20°; its head was turned to the sun; the tail, starting from the head, gradually expanded; the length of the tail was about 15° in the sky."
