Leila Wingate, in her early twenties, was looking out the window, looking out at the southern sky as well as San Francisco.
Above the Shell Oil Company refinery, she watched a rust-red creature with bat-like wings circle the plant. She watched it for about five minutes. It glided a little, flapping its wings from time to time.
In the end, he flew off in the direction of San Francisco. Leila said it was evil for her, and that she hadn't seen the creature about 13 years ago with her family in Bristol, Tennessee.

Over a Shell Oil Company refinery she watched a rusty red colored creature with bat-like wings flying in circles over the facility. She watched it for an estimated five minutes. It glided quite a bit, occasionally flapping its wings. At the end it flew off toward San Francisco. Layla said it felt evil to her, and that she hadn’t seen this creature since some 13 years ago with her family in Bristol Tennessee.
