Farmer Juan Acuña Pereira was walking home from the fields when he was reportedly attacked by a strange winged dog-like animal near the Fiscal Canal, he reported seeing two of the creatures.
Obviously, the smaller of the creatures was more aggressive, grabbing him by the throat. Juan defended himself with his hands and received deep scratches and scars. He fell to the ground, and one of the creatures bit him on the ankle. He managed to break free and jump into the canal, while the strange creatures flew back and forth across it, apparently waiting for him to come out of the water.
Eventually, the creatures gave up and left the area, flying at a very high speed. He went on to describe the creatures as earless dogs, with glowing eyes and triangular-shaped fangs.
Other locals reported finding dozens of dead chickens completely drained of blood; another farmer reported seeing two strange creatures that took off from his field toward the nearby hills as he approached them.
Another farmer reported finding 14 of his lambs dead, apparently mutilated but not eaten.
