The witness went out to the annex when he saw a strange light coming from behind a large tree about 30 feet (9 m) from the house. Terrified, he couldn't move as the light approached. Then he apparently lost consciousness.

He could only remember the bright light in front of him and the small, strange creatures that surrounded him and conducted "trials" with him. This incident occurred at the foot of the Zuni Mountains.
