Initial data
On March 4, 1999, when I looked out the window and ran, my parents were upstairs.
We saw 2 spherical fireballs hovering over Fairbanks International Airport (a few miles away in the eastern night sky). This lasted approximately 2 minutes, then 1 disappeared, and then another 1 approached 10 seconds later.
As we drove back from our grandparents ' house, my father and I also saw large fireballs hovering over the Fort Wainwright military base. They were bright orange and hovered for a minute, one hovered higher and disappeared, and the other followed seconds later.

Hypotheses
Airplane / Helicopter

An aircraft heavier than air for flights in the atmosphere (and outer space (e.g. An orbital aircraft)), using the aerodynamic lift of a glider to keep itself in the air (when flying within the atmosphere) and the thrust of a power (propulsion) installation for maneuvering and compensating for the loss of total mechanical energy to drag.
A rotorcraft in which the lift and thrust required for flight are created by one or more main rotors powered by an engine or several engines. They differ in maneuverability, the ability to hover and almost vertical takeoff.
