Brian Canfield was driving his truck through the foothills of Mount Rainier when he suddenly had a complete engine failure and his headlights went out.
Then, at a distance of 30 feet (9 m), a broad-shouldered winged creature with a height of 9 feet (2.7 m) landed. The creature had a large mouth with sharp teeth, yellow eyes, a wolfish face and was covered with bluish fur. After a few minutes, the creature turned its head, looked at the witness, and began to flap its wings.
The creature then headed for Mount Rainier. After that, the witness was able to start his truck and drive away. Later searches found nothing.

After a few minutes the creature turned his head looked at the witness and started flapping its wings. The creature then took off towards Mount Rainier. The witness then was able to start his truck and drive away. A later search of the area failed to locate anything.
