Greg and Stephanie McKay were camping in an isolated location when their tent was apparently attacked by an 8-foot (2.4 m) bear-like creature.
According to both witnesses, the creature spoke to them and asked if they had permission to use the camp. The creature told them to leave the house.
It was described as ugly, smelly, and with curly brown hair about 8 feet (2.4 m) tall. It also threw stones at the couple.
It spoke in a very high voice, very different from humans. The couple escaped from the area.
The police investigated, but could not find any evidence.
