In the suburbs of cook County, three police officers collided with a domed object in the shape of a disk with a diameter of 30 feet (9 m), which emitted a beam of light to the ground. It started when a bright object brightly illuminated a police patrol car, then changed direction as it was being chased.
A white domed disk was later seen to the East, the light beam reaching towards the ground as it descended behind the tree line. The entire observation lasted about three minutes.
