Initial data
Tuesday, 16 September 2014, a passenger plane took a lot of mysterious lights in the night sky. The witness is convinced that he had to deal with real UFO.
The man who wanted to remain anonymous, was returning from a trip to Greece, when he noticed several very bright objects hovering in a group near the plane. These unidentified ships have gathered in the canonical form of a flying saucer.
The passenger, intrigued, grabbed the camera and filmed for a long time is paranormal activity for 20-30 minutes before landing in Cardiff.
It shows:
"We were flying from Greece to Cardiff. It was a Tuesday night, and it happened for 20-40 minutes before we arrived around 10 PM. The lights were several miles away. The street was completely dark, so it was hard to tell what it was.
It was pretty weird. It was the best thing I have ever seen. When I realized this, I alerted my girl! "
Considering that video was shot so close to the landing site, it is likely that this was noticed, when it crossed the airspace of the UK.
The witness continues:
"I watched them for a while, before I decided to take my phone to take them, but they were there for about three or four minutes. I thought that may be it Thai lanterns, but they do not fly so high. They continued to fly until I could see more of them. I really have no idea what it was."

Original news

What could these lights be?
A plane passenger coming back from holiday was captivated by these strange hovering lights which he watched for several minutes from his plane window as his flight approached Cardiff.
The 29-year old said: "We were flying from Greece to Cardiff. It was on Tuesday night and happened about 20 to 40 minutes before we arrived at 10pm.
"The lights could have been from a few miles away - it was pitch black outside, so it's hard to say what it was.
"It was quite weird. It was very bright, it was the brightest thing I've ever seen. I just realised how bright it was and said to my girlfriend 'look at that!'
"I was staring at it for a while before I picked up my phone to film it, but it was there for about three or four minutes.
"I thought it maybe could have been lanterns, but they didn't go away, they kept flying til I couldn't see them anymore.
"I really have no idea what it could have been - it was just really, really bright.
"UFO is a really broad term. That's what it is, you know, an unidentified flying object."
Hypotheses
Objects with height

With the right perspective, survey boats and other similar objects from a significant distance (e.g., from the airplane), as in the photo and the video can be represented as shooting celestial objects. Especially good the picture is completed in the frame of the cloud.
So it could be night shots of glowing lights and their clusters - i.e., for example, fishing boats.
The lights of cranes, pipes and skyscrapers

Most often, this category can be attributed to the lights of a crane, high-rise buildings, boiler pipes, etc., equipped with nighttime lighting that is visible through the haze, fog, or when the color match between the support and the color of the surrounding space.
For unexplained may be taken accidentally or deliberately issued when shooting photos and video. A feature of the lights of a construction crane (in contrast to the street lights) is the movement of the boom, which is a light source.
Pyrotechnics

This category includes not only pyrotechnic projectiles visible in the sky, but also traces of exploded projectiles, their fragments and other similar activities.
Pyrotechnics is a branch of technology related to the technology of preparing combustible compounds and burning them to obtain a certain signal or effect.
