Looking out the window on the second floor, Mrs Whitehead saw, above the house (about 20 feet), a round platform with 8-12 men, who looked straight forward, tightly holding on to the brass railings. They wore blue uniforms and "little hats like sailors." The object slowly approached from the surrounding marshes, made the turn and disappeared behind the neighboring houses.
