Several cities in the U.S. state of Utah suffered from the "invasion" of tumbleweeds, which accumulated so high and dense that they blocked roads, surrounded houses and buried cars, reports AccuwWeather.
Thorny bushes were brought by strong winds during the storm that broke out last weekend in Utah and Nevada.
Winds have blown thousands of weeds into piles up to three meters high in some areas of South Jordan in Salt Lake County. A similar situation has developed further south, in Inl Mountain. Local residents began to clear the streets with shovels and hoes, and later city garbage collection services joined in.
According to eyewitnesses, everything looked like a scene from a western.
