Initial data
The US military shot down a fourth unidentified object near the Canadian border. This was announced by a member of the US House of Representatives from Michigan, Elissa Slotkin, on Twitter. According to the Wall Street Journal, the object was shot down from an F-16 fighter jet on the orders of US President Joe Biden.
The object was spotted on February 12 over Lake Huron. The military began to monitor him, after which he was shot down by pilots of the US Air Force and the National Guard. A Canadian official told the WSJ that the incident occurred about 20 km from the border. The object had the shape of an octagon and flew at an altitude of 6 km, which "posed a danger to civil air traffic."
The United States does not exclude the extraterrestrial origin of the downed objects, said the head of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), General Glen van Herk, as quoted by Reuters. The journalist asked him whether the Pentagon had abandoned the version about the alien origin of the objects. Herk said that he would give intelligence and counterintelligence an opportunity to find out, but now he does not rule out such a version. According to him, the military does not just call them objects, but not balloons, as in the case of the Chinese balloon.

WASHINGTON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. Air Force general overseeing North American airspace said on Sunday after a series of shoot-downs of unidentified objects that he would not rule out aliens or any other explanation yet, deferring to U.S. intelligence experts.
Asked whether he had ruled out an extraterrestrial origin for three airborne objects shot down by U.S. warplanes in as many days, General Glen VanHerck said: "I'll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven't ruled out anything."
