The author of the original material received the following email from CLD:
"I read Northern Life and found your article in it. And that got me thinking. I was alone and heading through Sudbury on the regent to the four corners. In fact, I was close to the four corners when I saw something (it was daytime), a line of black smoke from a jet plane or rocket. He was flying straight into the sky.
At first I thought it was funny that we have an airport in the southwest of Sudbury. Concentrating on driving, I looked away for a minute. I decided to look again. The smoke line was now horizontal, almost in the same direction as I was (southeast).
I tried to keep him in sight as much as I could. After a few moments, the smoke line completely disappeared. Question? Does the plane have white smoke? Yes! And that same day there was still a line above us, white across the sky. Humidity was high, so there was still smoke from the plane, but the band of dark smoke did not last long. Secondly, the way this UFO was moving at a speed higher than a jetliner. You can tell when the liner is crossing the sky. I do not know what this smoke line is, and I have never told anyone before."

I received this following e-mail from CLD:
'I was ready the Northern Life and found your article in it. And it made me think. I was on my own and heading through Sudbury on regent toward the four corners. Actually I was close to the four corners when I saw something {it was during the day} a line of black smoke from a jet or rocket. It was shooting straight up toward the sky. At first I found it funny that we had a airport on the south west of Sudbury. Concentrating on my driving I looked away for a minute. I decided to look at it again. The line of smoke was now going horizontal, almost the same direction that I was going (south east). I tried to keep it in sight as much as I could. It was but a few moments later the line of smoke totally disappeared. Question? Does plane have white smoke? Yes! And that same day there was still a line above us which was white across the sky. The humidity was high that is why the plane's smoke was still there, but the line of dark smoke did not stay long. Secondly, the way this UFO moved at a speed faster then a jet liner. You can tell when the jet liner crosses the sky. What was this line of smoke, I don't know and never told anyone before.'
