I live in urban Colorado and in April decided to go to the mountains to wander. I went to a small campground in Colorado called Buena Vista. I was only going to spend 2 nights there and decided to camp near a pond that was about 75-100 feet (22.5-30 m) away. I camped for the first night and fell asleep. I was suddenly woken up by a bright red light at 1: 03.
I unzipped the tent and looked outside to find a red disk hovering over the pond. It was approximately 30 feet (9 m) in diameter and 17 feet high. It looked like he was watching the water spin and move across the pond. I watched it for 1-2 minutes, and then it took off into the sky again.
I lay down again, shaken, and fell asleep, thinking it was a dream. The next morning I woke up with terrible burns on my naked body parts. I thought I was getting too much sun yesterday. I went to the pond and was shocked to find 7-8 dead fish. I thought it was natural, but I looked closer and found that they had been burned.
My heart started beating and I just left and walked for the rest of the day. Later that night at 23: 09, I woke up again to the same red light and looked out of my tent to see the same object over the pond. I watched for another 1-2 minutes, and this time it flew east. I was shaking with fear and fell asleep.
I woke up, got in the car, and noticed that my burns were blistered. I left as fast as I could and never came back.

I was only going to spend 2 nights there and decided to set camp next to the pond which was roughly 75-100 ft away. I set up camp for the first night and fell asleep. I suddenly woke up to bright red lights at 1:03 AM.
I unzipped my tent and peeked outside to discover a red disc hovering over the pond. It was roughly 30 ft in diameter and 17 ft high. It appeared to be observing the water turning and moving throughout the pond. I watched it for 1-2 minutes and then it shot back up into the sky.
I laid back down shaken and fell asleep thinking I was dreaming. The next morning I woke up with these awful burns on my exposed parts of my body. I thought I got too much sun yesterday and brushed it off. I walked over to the pond and was shocked to find 7-8 dead fish. I thought it was natural but I took a closer look to discover that they had been burned.
My heart began to beat and I just walked away and hiked for the rest of the day. Later that night at 11:09 PM I awoke to the same red lights again and looked out my tent to see the same object over the pond. I watched for another 1-2 minutes and this time it shot to the east. I was shaking an fell asleep. I woke up got in my car and noticed my burns had blistered. I drove away as fast as I could and never came back
