The man was building a fire behind his house near a wooded area when he heard a noise in the woods and pointed his flashlight in that direction. In the distance, he saw a large dark "animal", which then stood on all fours and took it for a bear.
Then the animal looked at him, then stood up on two legs. He began to move into the woods, keeping a good distance from the witness who was now watching him.
Man could never hit a creature with his light; he could only see the silhouette of its body, which gave the impression of being 8 to 9 feet (2.4-2.7 m) tall, fluffy and black-brown in color. It looked like it was moving on two legs, and they were keeping a considerable distance from each other, but moving relatively slowly.
As the man watched the creature, it seemed to move in an upright position until he lost sight of it in the thicker forest. Having lost sight of the creature, the witness retreated and, looking up, was startled to see something rather strange in the sky.
At a distance of about 500 feet (150 m), he saw a large solid glowing triangular object with no separate lights. According to his estimate, the object was the size of a two-story house. It was longer than the width.
The silent object was first spotted about 50 feet (15 m) above the ground in a clearing. It then slowly descended to about 20 feet (6 m), where it disappeared behind a dense part of the forest and was no longer visible.

In the distance he saw a large dark “animal” which was then down on all fours, and was assumed to be a bear. The animal then looked at him, then stood upright on two legs. It began to move into the woods keeping a good distance from the witness who was now following it. The man could never hit the creature with his light; he could only see a silhouette of its body, which gave the impression of being about 8 to 9 ft tall, furry, and blackish-brown in color. It appeared to be moving on two legs, and they kept quite a distance apart, yet moving at a relatively slow pace. During the time that the man followed the creature, it appeared to be moving in an upright position until he lost sight of it in the thicker woods. After losing sight of the creature the witness backtracked, and looking upward was startled to see something quite strange in the sky. About 500 ft away, he saw a large solid luminous triangular object with no individual lights. He estimated the object to be the size of a two-story house. It appeared to be longer than wide. The object, which was silent, was first observed at approximately 50 ft above the ground in a clearing. It then moved down slowly to about 20 ft, where it disappeared behind a thick part of the woods, and was no longer seen.
