Rafael Moreno was on duty at his ranch, waiting for the blood predator or the chupacabra. He shot the creature and wounded it a second time, and the second time it escaped to the Everglades.
According to Moreno, the animal was on the shore of the lake. In the darkness, his eyes shone like two lanterns reflected in a lake. He fired at it several times.
"I know I hit at least once because I heard a scream," Moreno said.
