Puerto RicoA local youth, Jose Pello, went out into the backyard after hearing an unusual sound. There he noticed a canine creature, apparently lying on the ground. To his surprise, she suddenly straightened up completely.
It was about five feet (1.5 m) tall. He described the creature as hairy and powerfully built.

A local youth, Jose Pellot, went out to his backyard after hearing an unusual sound; there he became aware of a dog-like creature apparently lying down on the ground. To his amazement it suddenly became fully erect. It stood about five feet in height. He described the creature as hairy and powerfully built.
