The couple were on a camping trip when they heard a terrible scream from afar that was loud and sad, and then by the light of the full moon, he only noticed a ten-foot (3M) tall snowman. He wasn't even looking at him, but across the river.
The witness said the creature's eyes were the size of a silver dollar, eight inches apart and bright red in the moonlight.
As he began to panic, he heard a message of peace and non-aggression in his head. He turned, picked up his gear, and backed away. He Packed up his things, left the land in the boat (apparently in shock), left his wife, who woke up later, went to get a friend to help find her husband, who was arrested, as she later found out.
Later, they found wide tracks of caterpillars 17 inches (43.1 cm) and 20 inches (50.8 cm) long.
