M. Brechan, su hijo Patrice, de 11 años, y su yerno, el Sr. Cosme, viajaban en un automóvil durante una expedición de caza de platillos.
En un campo cerca de Songeon, a una distancia de 250-300 yardas (225-270 m), vieron una bola luminosa cuya intensidad de luz disminuyó. Durante unos segundos, 4-6 rectángulos luminosos blancos aparecieron a su lado.
Luego, los testigos intentaron dar la vuelta a la linterna y observarla por detrás. La segunda bola luminosa, también en el campo, estaba a unos 200 yardas (180 m) de distancia. De su base salía un rayo de luz triangular, su base estaba sobre una bola y su punta apuntaba hacia la izquierda.

Then they tried to drive around the light and observe it from the rear. This second luminous ball, likewise in a field, was about 200 yards away. From its base emerged a triangular beam of light, its base on the ball, and its point toward the left.
