Initial data
M. Brechan, his 11-year-old son, Patrice, and his son-in-law, Mr. Cosme, were driving in a car on a saucer hunting expedition on a dark night.
In a field near Songeon, at a distance of 250-300 yards (225-270 m), they saw a glowing ball, the intensity of which decreased. For a few seconds, 4-6 white glowing rectangles appeared next to it.
Then the witnesses tried to go around the lantern and watch it from behind. The second glowing ball, also in the field, was about 200 yards (180 m) away. From its base came a triangular ray of light, its base was on the ball, and its point was directed to the left.
Through binoculars, Mr. Cosme saw 2 glowing silhouettes of creatures, one behind the beam, and the other "sliding along it" to the point where it disappeared. They seemed to have elongated heads and incredibly broad shoulders. He couldn't make out arms and legs, but the one behind the beam seemed to be carrying a bag on the left side. This silhouette gradually "evaporated", then the beam went out, then the ball.
On the way home, the observer's car was chased by a ball of yellow-white, then yellow-green light at the level of the treetops, which was first seen at a distance of 300 yards (270 m), and then approached no more than 50 yards (45 m).

M Brechant, his 11-year-old son, Patrice, and his brother in law, Mr. Cosme, were in a car on a dark night on a saucer hunting expedition. In a field near Songeons, 250-300 yards away, they saw a luminous ball whose light diminished in intensity; for a few seconds, 4-6 white luminous rectangles appeared beside it. Then they tried to drive around the light and observe it from the rear. This second luminous ball, likewise in a field, was about 200 yards away. From its base emerged a triangular beam of light, its base on the ball, and its point toward the left. Through binoculars, Mr. Cosme could see 2 luminous silhouettes of beings, one behind the beam and one “sliding on it” towards the point, where it disappeared. They seemed to have elongated heads and enormously broad shoulders; he could not distinguish arms and legs, but the one behind the beam seemed to carry a sack on its left side. This silhouette gradually “evaporated,” then the beam went out, and then the ball. On their way home the observer’s car was pursued by a ball of yellow-white, then yellow green light at treetop level, first seen 300 yards away and later approaching to within at most 50 yards.
