The message of an eyewitness, the commander of the ship (Lenaviaobedinenie) NAZIMOV Alexander Vladimirovich:
I observed the appearance of OLN on August 23rd at 2:55 a.m. The plane was parked at Sheremetyevo airport before takeoff, ready for towing. The subsequent course of the aircraft is to Murmansk.
The pilots in the cockpit, looking through the right "window", found a glowing "object" (B) in the form of a "dish" with sharply defined contours, which moved at high speed to the northeast. The magnetic course is 248°.
A control request was made, but Moscow reported that there was no one in the air. A solid cone of luminous contrail was observed behind the object.
After a few minutes, the object disappeared over the horizon. During the subsequent flight to Murmansk, a residual contrail was observed in the sky for a long time, absolutely unlike the contrail of an airplane.
