Initial data
The testimony of an eyewitness, the commander of the TU-134 ship, the pilot-mentor of the Leningrad aviation squadron, Vladimir Nikitovich GORBOV.
On September 6, 1978, a plane with a team of five pilots headed north. The magnetic course of the Mk-160° aircraft. The flight altitude is H 1 = 9 kilometers. The clouds were below at an altitude of H = 3 kilometers. Above the plane, it's clear, it's twilight. Approximately on the beam of the "Great Island" between Afrikanda and Kemyu, on a collision course (Mk = 340), the pilots noticed an "object" of an oblong shape
at an altitude of H 2 = 20 kilometers = 2 km
The object somewhat resembled a "section" of an inversion trace, but had clear dimensions, glowed and vibrated. All 5 pilots simultaneously observed the "object" that appeared.
Fig. 1 shows the position of the "object" relative to the aircraft. The time was fixed: 18
about 35 hours and minutes. A few minutes later, the aircraft crew, who continued to observe the "object", saw two light beams that came out of the end part of the "object" and began to move towards each other, moving in "half rings". The rays glowed and flickered. The clear sky was visible in the space between the rays. See Fig. 2.
The beams moved closer together for several minutes and, as a result, docked with each other. At the moment of docking, a bright glowing ball flashed, the angular dimensions of which were about 1/10 of the diameter of the lunar disk. See fig.3. The ball emitted light for 3-4 minutes, after which it began to fade and disappeared along with the rays.
The "object" remained unchanged and continued to be visible at the same height,
even after a forty-minute flight of the aircraft, moving along the same course (see Fig.4), moreover, the "object" was observed far behind the tail of the aircraft.
The commander of the aircraft requested Murmansk, Severodvinsk, Petrozavodsk and a number of other points, however, the answer was the same from everywhere: "the sky along your highway is clear." The ship's crew did not observe any painful sensations or disturbances in the operation of the aircraft's mechanisms.

Booster, the rocket and tracks

For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
