Once, in the year 1979-80 in late January-early February, we were fishing on an artificial lake near the village of Kurba in the Yaroslavl region. We came to the lake and took a break, because it was still dark. I was sitting on a folding chair facing Yaroslavl, the torches of the Yar. Oil Refinery were visible a little to the right.

Suddenly, the sky lit up brightly and it became light, a bright yellow (orange) ball appeared. I turned back, the moon was behind me, 3 times smaller in diameter and dimly shining. I told 2 comrades who I was with (Look what it is, because the moon is behind). The first impression was that an atomic bomb had exploded over the city and was hanging in the air, but we had nowhere to hide and there was no sound, there was only a bright light.

It was about 8 o'clock in the morning and just starting to get a little light.

The balloon did not rise very fast, then it turned to the right and we realized that it was moving away. Then the ball was enveloped in a greenish-blue cloud, then a second one of the same.

The clouds stayed in place for a long time, rose slightly, then melted.

The balloon was already flying very much, getting smaller and smaller and soon disappeared completely.

It was light all the time he was flying.

 When the balloon flew away, it became darker, although it was already getting light. The moon was shining as well, in the same place.

I'm sorry for the not very accurate time, because it's been 5-6 years.

We then asked a lecturer from the Znanie society about this case after the lectures, which are produced at our factory for another month, but he said that it was quite possible that we had seen the launch of a space rocket from the northern cosmodrome.

But we saw the launch of missiles on TV (there is a tail visible, i.e. the fire that flies out of the rocket, and here there was a Ball and no hint of fire (in general, there is nothing like a rocket). Moreover, he flew very slowly at first, as if he were hanging over the city.

I read the newspaper Trud, which describes cases just like ours, so I decided to write.
