I have just read in the Work a material about an unusual phenomenon that was observed by the pilots of the TU-134A Tbilisi-Rostov-Tallinn. Unfortunately, when this happened, it is not indicated there.
I also observed something similar, but it was on that evening in 1983, or in October or early November (maybe November 1, I wanted to remember the date, but I can't say for sure).
I live in the city of Apatity, Murmansk region. So, that early morning I was going to work, it was at 6-30 or 6-40, the morning was frosty, the snow sparkled beautifully, but not clear, in the sense of the stars were not visible, at this time we have a polar night coming. And suddenly, a huge cone-shaped ray of such a greenish glow appeared in the dark sky, at first it was directed to the right side and all the time slowly moved to the left at the same height (in the sense of horizontally). The height of the object itself from which the beam was coming, of course, I can not determine exactly. So he moved maybe 4-5 minutes, and then he turned sharply and the light from the beam seemed to fall to the ground, but it was not over the city, but about or over the Coal mine or over ANOF-3, and this is about 30 kilometers from the city or closer, but in fact in the city high-rise buildings and illuminated either there was a surface of the earth or not it was not visible, but it was all so creepy-such a huge cone or like a big "spotlight" with an unusual glow and movement. But then this ray began to gain height quickly and disappeared into the sky, and when it moved vertically upwards, the beam did not go out, but as it moved away, it illuminated dense layers of the sky, and then it went out.
I wrote so messily that it's unpleasant even for myself, but I'll send it anyway. Many people have observed this phenomenon, maybe after reading the article. I really saw it, I thought back then that if this beam was from an ordinary plane, then a hum would be heard, but there was complete silence and a painfully powerful beam.
All this lasted 5-7 minutes, until it disappeared completely.
