Initial data
A team of employees of the apartment and operational part (technical department) writes to the Commission on the AIA:
We read in the newspaper "Trud" for January 30, 1985 the article "Exactly at 4.10" by V. Vostrukhin and decided to share our observations. We observed a very similar phenomenon on December 24-26 (we did not determine exactly what day). It was at 6 o'clock in the evening. They left the building and began to go home. Many of our colleagues saw it from different places in the city. First, a very bright star flashed in the sky, which is why many people paid attention to the sky. Then it went out a little and swept across the sky, behind the star there was the same plume as behind the recative plane. It was gray-white in color and colored lights flashed in it. Then the asterisk flew some distance, suddenly it turned sharply in the opposite direction and disappeared. In this place there was a greenish spot that looked more like a tube. It was also moving, then it began to slowly melt. At first we thought it was the Northern lights or launched a satellite, but there has never been such a bright one.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks

For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
