An eyewitness from Kerkrade writes:
23.10.9, around 13:10 at a high altitude, a small and, as I could observe, a bright silver ball that changed brightness and seemed to hang in place. It was not a big object, which I also happened to see. nothing is visible on flight radar. I saw it from Kerkrade towards Heerlen, lost it due to sunlight and streaks of planes in the sky, but I couldn't take a picture, the distance was too long.

KERKRADE, LB — 10-9-23 rond 13:10 op grote hoogte een klein en zoals ik het kon waarnemen een fel zilveren bol die van felheid wisselde, en leek stil te hangen, het was geen grote object ik keek er ook toevallig tegen aan op flight radar is niets op te zien . ik zag het vanuit kerkrade richting heerlen, door de zonlicht en strepen van vliegtuigen in de lucht ben ik hem kwijtgeraakt, foto maken lukt niet de afstand was te groot.
