Initial data
The Petrov family writes to the Commission on the USSR:
I'm sorry that I didn't immediately write to you about the incomprehensible phenomenon that my wife and I saw on 09/20/1984 at 20-15 near the village of Zapolyarnogo Vorkuta.
At 20-15 in the night sky we saw a brightly glowing object rising up. There was a halo of blue light around this object. then a glowing dot separated from him, which seemed to freeze in place. As the first luminous object was removed, the second luminous point hung as if on a thin luminous thread, so the beam that came from the first luminous object to the second looked like (the beam was very long and did not dissipate).
Then the beam disappeared, and the second glowing object began to move, approaching us, having already assumed larger shapes and, as it seemed to us, had a round shape, shrouded in a greenish-blue halo, which were visible when this object seemed to be swaying.
Then he abruptly stopped and moved northeast towards the Polar Urals.
Until he disappeared in 20-30.
The speed of movement of the second object was about 400 km / h, which we concluded due to the fact that helicopters often fly here and compared the speed of the helicopter with the speed of this object. We decided that the speed was somewhere in this limit, namely about 400 km / h.
We add that there was no sound during the flight of this object. And yet, the first glowing object before disappearing into the night sky had the shape of an arrowhead.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks

For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
