I, Yuri Vasilyevich Vorobyov, born in 1938, graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Railway Transport Engineers with a degree in mechanical engineer of diesel traction in 1968. I work as a machinist in the locomotive depot "Riga", at the extracurricular station "Shkirotava".

In September, at 4-20 in the morning, I noticed a strange phenomenon. To my right, the territory of PMS-91, located in a north-westerly direction approximately, is obscured by a white dense cloud, going up in concentric circles along the hyperbola, and at the very end of this cone a bright star, or exhaust fire, which is already visible from a fairly long distance, sparkled. White clouds covered all objects within a radius of about 100 meters. The sky was moonless, starry, clear, a breeze was blowing, but the cloud did not shift, but melted. Stacks of sleepers, stars and another perspective began to be seen through it, and a halo of green color appeared around the cloud. And the further the green halo moved away and seemed smaller, until it turned into a green hole in the black sky the size of a KAMAZ wheel. The flashing fire at the top of the cone disappeared behind a cloud.

The green hole in the sky was constantly observed in the north at 7-10 degrees from the horizon, although I drove through the station for more than two kilometers in a north-westerly direction, and disappeared only in the rays of the rising sun.
