Report from the Blue Package:
On 25 November 1986, at 12:50 a.m. Moscow time, the dispatch service and the military flight control sector at Magadan Airport discovered an unidentified target.
At this time, an An-12, flight 11421, was coming towards her at an altitude of 7200 meters, which was alerted by the traffic service about the oncoming target.
After the plane diverging for the purpose, it turned to the right towards Shelikhov Bay with an increase in speed to 900-1000 km/h. At 1258 the speed of the target began to increase again and within a few minutes reached 3000 km/h.
At this speed, the target went to the Kamchatka area and disappeared from the radar range at a distance of 150 km from the shoreline.
