Original news

TORONTO – What were those bright lights hovering over Toronto Saturday night?

That’s the question many were wondering over the weekend after several unidentified flying objects were spotted in the city’s North York neighbourhood.

A number of videos have appeared online allegedly showing at least five unknown balls of light moving in formation.

In one of them, a Facebook post by Roxanna Maleki claims the objects did not appear to be airplanes.

“We still don’t have any clue what that is. This is really strange,” said Maleki in the video posted on July 26.  “That’s not a plane. That does not look like a plane.”

Another video posted on YouTube by Sarah Chun appears to show four bright objects lined up over a Toronto neighbourhood in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area.

The close encounters left many wondering if the lights could have been something more terrestrial-based or maybe reflections of some sort.

One Toronto police officer even took to Twitter to chime in on what he thought was a quadcopter.

Investigation

Versions testing, their confirmation or refutation. Additional information, notes during the study of materials

Hard to say about other cases, due to the lack of the photos displayed.

If we consider only this (the only one published in the article) video shot by Sarah Chun, it is a reflection on the glass. This is clearly seen by the movements of the object in sync with the camera movements and the string of lights are shown from 1:01 to 1:26, where it is clearly seen that the shot goes through the glass and objects on the same line, translucent and block house, visible from the window.

Also, they are visible much more clearly than other elements of the landscape beyond the glass.
