В воскресенье, 26 октября 2014 года, две подруги Виктория Гривз (22 года) и Кейли Аткинсон (23 года) хорошо провели время вместе в одном из многочисленных баров в городе Ньюкасл-апон-Тайн (бар Slug and Lettuce). Они решили сфотографировать себя.
Через несколько часов они заметили присутствие третьего лицана снимке. Последний имел вид старухи, которая, казалось, хихикала. Кроме того, она появилась в викторианской одежде.
В ужасе от этого таинственного явления Виктория, работающая медсестрой, рассказала про эту фотографию:
"Мы сделали снимок в баре, куда мы ходили. Мы обе любим Селфи. Я загрузила изображение в Snapchat и ничего более. Но позже той ночью Кейли позвонила мне в панике и сказала, чтобы я посмотрела на фото поближе."

Le dimanche 26 octobre 2014, dans la soirée, deux amies Victoria Greeves (âgée de 22 ans) etKayley Atkinson (âgée de 23 ans) passaient du bon temps ensemble dans l’un des nombreux bars de la ville de Newcastle upon Tyne (le Slug and Lettuce), à l’extrême Nord-Est de l’Angleterre. Pour s’amurer, elles décidèrent de se prendre en photo.
Quelques heures plus tard, elles tombèrent des nues quand elles remarquèrent la présence d’une troisième personne sur le cliché ! Cette dernière avait l’apparence d’une vieille femme qui semblait ricaner frénétiquement. En outre, elle paraissait porter des vêtements datant de l’époque victorienne.
Horrifiées par cette mystérieuse apparition, Victoria, qui travaille en tant qu’infirmière, supprima cette photographie, qui lui glaçait le sang, de son téléphone.
« Nous avons pris la photo dans un bar où nous avions l’habitude d’aller, nous adorons toutes les deux les Selfies. »
« J’ai téléchargé l’image sur Snapchat et rien de plus. Mais plus tard, ce soir-là Kayley m'a téléphoné paniquée et m’a dit de regarder de plus près. »
« Elle m’a dit qu'il y avait un personnage en arrière-plan. Je suis assez sceptique concernant ce genre de choses et quand je l’ai vu pour la première fois, j’ai rigolé. »
« Mais quand j’ai regardé de nouveau l'image, je ne pouvais pas croire ce que je voyais. C’était terrifiant. »
« Je ne pouvais plus regarder l'image, j’avais trop peur. »
« Cette figure était très claire. Elle ressemblait à une femme vêtue comme à l’époque victorienne. Elle riait juste derrière nous. »
Les filles, qui se fréquentent depuis maintenant six ans, sont des habituées de ce bar si populaire. Aujourd’hui, elles avouent qu’elles y réfléchiront à deux fois avant d’y revenir.
Kayley, qui travaille dans l’administration, s’est exprimée :
« Le bar était mort quand nous y sommes allées. C’est quand je suis rentrée, un peu plus tard, que j’ai remarqué la chose sur la photo. Je ne pouvais pas y croire... »
« Je suis absolument terrifiée et Victoria a eu tellement peur qu'elle a supprimé la photo de son téléphone. »
« Beaucoup de gens affirment que l’on a trafiqué l'image avec Photoshop. Je ne peux pas les blâmer, mais aucune d'entre nous ne saurait le faire. »
« Je ne crois pas du tout aux fantômes, mais aujourd’hui je n’en suis plus si sûre. »
Un employé du bar a déclaré que personne n’avait jamais vu de fantômes dans les lieux. Mais le centre-ville de Newcastle est connu pour abriter un nombre incalculable de revenants …

A woman has told of her terror at discovering a ghost had photobombed her selfie.
The picture of the girls was ruined when the ghostly figure of an elderly woman in Victorian clothing sneering at them from behind.
The spooky apparition was caught on camera by pals Victoria Greeves, 22, and Kayley Atkinson. 23, as they enjoyed a girl's night out in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on Sunday evening.
Fans of a selfie, they had been enjoying a drink at the virtually empty Slug and Lettuce pun when they decided to take the snap.
But after striking their best pose together the girls noticed there was a third person in the photo - which appears to be an elderly lady dressed in Victorian clothing.Horrified by the chilling figure, nurse Victoria deleted the spine-tingling photo from her phone.
She said: "We took the picture in the bar as we usually would, we are both fans of a selfie.
"I uploaded the picture to Snapchat and thought nothing more of it but later that night Kayley rang me in a panic and told me to have a closer look.
"She said there was a figure in the background, and I am quite sceptical about things like that so I just laughed at the time.
"But when I looked back at the picture I could not believe what I was seeing. It is terrifying."
"I couldn't look at the picture at the beginning as I was too freaked out.
"It is so clear, and it looks like what can only be described as a Victorian woman, laughing behind us."
The girls, who have known each other for the past six years, are regulars at the popular riverside bar - but said they would think twice before going back in the future.Local authority worker Kayley said: "The bar was dead when we went in. It was only when I got home later on that I noticed the photo. I couldn't believe it.
"I was absolutely terrified and Victoria was so scared that she deleted the photo off her phone.
"A lot of people have said we must have photoshopped the picture, and I can't blame them, but neither of us would even know how to do that.
"I didn't believe in ghosts at all before, but I'm not so sure anymore."
A member of staff at the bar said no-one who worked there had ever seen a ghost but Newcastle's city centre is alleged to be rife with grisly ghouls.

Расследование
Это могла быть фотография на стене или случайный посетитель бара, попавший в кадр. Нужно изучить другие фото, сделанные в тот вечер, чтобы исключить или подтвердить эту версию.
