En noviembre de 1978, Antonio F., nacido el 16 de octubre de 1942, residente en Rímini, alrededor de las 23:30 esperó a que se transmitiera un partido de boxeo por televisión cuando escuchó el ladrido particularmente insistente de su perro.
Por la noche, especialmente fría, predominó la niebla y la llovizna prolongada y densa. El perro, un pastor Maremma de raza gigante, era bastante agresivo y ladraba de diferentes maneras dependiendo de si se oponía a un humano o animal. Esa noche, alrededor de las 23:25, se puso furioso, como si estuviera en presencia de un extraño. Así, Antonio F. pensó que se trataba de un pequeño ladrón y se acercó a la ventana para mirar hacia la puerta de entrada.
A cuarenta metros de allí, vio una luz deslumbrante completamente inusual. Al principio pensó que eran los faros del coche que había sufrido el accidente. Lo que más le sorprendió fue el tipo de luz emitida, que se extendía de 10 a 20 metros cuadrados y era "partes pequeñas...", es decir, completamente segmentada. Su color predominante era el naranja, pero brillaba y variaba de naranja a púrpura y luego de plata.
Así que gritó a sus familiares:
"¡Ven aquí, es un OVNI!»
Al pronunciar estas palabras, miró dentro de la casa, y cuando volvió a mirar hacia afuera, todo desapareció.
Su esposa, su madre y su hermana llegaron justo a tiempo para ver la luz por un tiempo muy corto, pero luego todos se encuentran en la oscuridad, el frío y la niebla. Volvió a ver la televisión, aún escuchando los ladridos furiosos y persistentes del perro.
Se quedó un poco preocupado porque seguía pensando que había alguien enojado afuera. Los tiempos fueron particularmente difíciles políticamente: sus ideas extremistas de derecha y su trabajo como guardaespaldas le causaron constantes temores por su vida y la de sus familiares.
Entonces, ligeramente alarmado, fue a la entrada, abrió la puerta con las luces apagadas y tomó la linterna. Miró por la puerta, salió, miró la puerta frente a él, sin notar la extraña luz que había visto un momento antes. De repente, escuchó a su izquierda un susurro proveniente de las hierbas silvestres de un campo cercano.
Instintivamente encendió una linterna y la dirigió al lugar desde donde escuchó el ruido. A unos seis o siete metros de altura, vio a dos "chicos", uno muy por encima del otro, de 1,80 m a 1,90 m para el primero y aproximadamente 1,50 m para el segundo. Eran criaturas de aspecto extremadamente delgado y largo, tenían una cabeza ovalada, más ancha en la parte superior, ubicada sobre un cuello particularmente delgado.
Estas criaturas le recordaron a las mujeres que el artista Modigliani estaba pintando, o, como más tarde notó en el documental, "el pequeño hombre de Roswell". Los ojos son grandes, grandes, en forma de almendra, es decir, más anchos hacia el exterior y más delgados hacia el centro de la cabeza. El cuerpo estaba cubierto por un atuendo muy ajustado de color gris. Lo que más le impresionó fue un cinturón ancho, de unos cinco centímetros, decorado con una "hebilla" rectangular plateada de 5 por 15 cm, que brillaba muy intensamente. No pudo establecer si este resplandor era el resultado de una fuente de luz interna o el reflejo de su propia linterna.
Él los miró y lo miraron, había perplejidad y sorpresa en ambos lados. Atrapados por la luz, las dos criaturas permanecieron inmóviles y fueron golpeadas por una fracción de segundo cuando un testigo llamó a su familia gritando:

El susurro que escuchó probablemente fue causado por la hierba silvestre que estaba allí, señaló que estaba perturbado.
Esa noche, Antonio F., que se llamaba a sí mismo una persona no demasiado impresionable, no se quedó dormido antes de que el perro dejara de ladrar tan ferozmente y ferozmente. He thus yelled at his relatives: “Come here, there is a UFO!” Pronouncing these words, he looked towards the inside of the house and when he looked outside again, everything was gone.
His wife, her mother and his sister had arrived just in time to very briefly see the light but all had then fallen out in the darkness, drizzle and fog. He went back to watch TV, still hearing the dog barking furiously and in an insistent manner. In alarm, he remained slightly apprehensive because he continued to think that there was somebody malevolent outside. The times were particularly difficult politically; his extremist right wing ideas and his bodyguard occupation gave him continual fears for his life and the lives of his relatives.
Thus, slightly anxious, he walked towards the entry, he opened the door while having the light out, and took a flashlight. He stared from the door, came out, looked in front of him towards the gate, without making a connection with the strange light which he had seen one moment earlier. Suddenly, he heard on his left a rustle sound coming from wild grasses of the nearby field. He instinctively lit the flashlight and pointed it at the area from where he had heard the noise coming. At approximately six or seven meters, he saw two “chaps”, one much taller than the other, 1m80 to 1m90 for the first and approximately 1m50 for the second. They were creatures of an extremely thin and long aspect, they had an oval head, broader in the higher part, posed on a particularly thin neck. These beings made him think of the women painter Modigliani used to paint, or as he noticed later from a documentary, the “little man of Roswell”. The eyes were large, big, almond-shaped, i.e. broader towards the outside and thinner towards the center of the head. The body was covered with a very tight-fitting outfit of gray color. What struck him the most was their broad belt, of approximately five centimetres, decorated of a rectangular silver plated “buckle” which measured 5 cm by 15 cm, which shone very intensely. He could not establish if this shining were due to an internal source of light or due to the reflection of his own flashlight.
He looked at them and they looked at him, there was perplexity and surprise on the two sides. Taken in the light, the two beings remained motionless and amazed during a split second then, when the witness called his family by shouting “Come see this! Come see this!”, they disappeared with a gentle rustle. He went back home. The next day he went to the place where he had seen the strange segmented light and found on the naked ground, freshly plowed, a burned zone of circular form of approximately 1m50 of radius. He then walked towards the left part of the dwelling and there he understood why the humanoids had appeared to him with so different sizes: one of them had been on a small bump of the ground and the other in a hole. The rustle which he had heard was probably due to wild grasses which were there, he noted that it had been disturbed. That night, Antonio F, who described himself as not easily impressionable person, had not fallen asleep before the dog stopped barking in such furious and violent manner. He ensured that he had felt no fear when seeing these creatures but on the contrary had been pleased by what happened to him.
