To the editor about the phenomenon that Mikalevich saw from the window of her apartment house.

On Friday evening, I can't specify the exact time, but I know that I was watching a concert by Raymond Pauls on February 8, 1985, I went to the window and saw.

first, the glow on the horizon behind the houses is a pink-yellow glow, like a glow before windy weather.

Then this light seemed to rise more and more from behind the same horizon, i.e. everything in the same direction and the glow became brighter, but the color prevailed more yellow than pink and from there a yellow ball began to appear, like the sun, only without bright rays that the sun does not give on watch him. This ball, very large in size, finally appeared above the houses and continued to rise up in a straight line in the same place, but at the same time it was moving closer to the east, as its dimensions increased even more on perception with the eyes.

Going up and moving, while I was looking at him, it was the impression that he had reached, as it were, the same size and, by definition, he did not increase or decrease in my eyes. This ball rose quite quickly, creating the same illuminated horizon behind it for a short time, until it disappeared completely. All this observation took 15-30 minutes, but no more.

I am writing this because the newspaper asked me to report this unknown object. But I think that my observation could have been seen at the Pulkovo Observatory. My windows face east.
