Initial data
Candidate of geological-mineralogical Sciences R. furduy from Kiev says, as being in the tent camp of participants of the XV International Congress on Geology of coal deposits on the banks of the river Zilim (southern Urals), he and his colleagues (about 30 people) in the late evening of 6 September 1975, observed a surprising phenomenon:
"In the North-Western sector of the sky degrees, 40 from the Zenith, amid the stars glowed bluish-white fire bubble. Angular size approximately equal to the size of the full moon. The bubble grew rapidly in size, as if Suha and swelling. In form it was almost hemispherical, convex upwards, with a rather uneven undulating bottom cut. Light this hemisphere is more reminiscent of bluish-white surface glowing fluorescent light, but was much weaker.
In complete silence (could be heard only the crackling of the wood in the fire) we looked at the property bubble, which continued to increase, with angular dimensions and soon it was about 20°. Lasted this sight for about two minutes.
Disappeared "bubble" immediately - went out, like someone once turned off an invisible switch.
Later I learned that this or a very similar phenomenon on the same evening and about the same time was observed in the city of Ufa, that is 85 km to the North-West. For Ufa observers "bubble" hung high above the horizon to the South-Eastern part of the sky."
Simple calculations give the height of the appearance of a hemisphere of about 50 km, and the diameter of its Foundation - from 600 m (at the beginning of the observation) up to 20 km (at the end of it).
