Un hombre y su esposa estaban en las cuevas de lava de Redmond, cerca del aeropuerto, cuando escucharon un aullido de una de las cuevas a primera hora de la noche.
De repente, una enorme criatura salió de una de las cuevas a solo 50-60 pies (15-18 m) de ellas. Simplemente salió de la cueva y luego se fue rápidamente, aparentemente sin darse cuenta de la pareja.
Según ellos, dejaba huellas de 22 pulgadas (55,88 cm) en la arena y era realmente feo. La criatura de 8 pies (2,4 m) de altura era de color arena con una cabeza puntiaguda, hombros muy anchos y sin vello facial, brazos o piernas.

A man and his wife were at the Redmond lava caves near the airport when they heard a howl out of one of the caves during the early evening. Suddenly an immense creature came from one of the caves only 50-60 ft from them. It just walked out of the cave, and then walked quickly away, apparently not noticing the couple. It left 22-inch tracks in the sand, and was really ugly, they said. The 8 ft creature was sandy colored with a peaked head, very broad shoulders, and no hair on the face, hands or feet.
