Cyril John, de 64 años, un ex líder político local, se levantó temprano para venir a Londres cuando notó una luz que brillaba en la ventana de su habitación.
Al mirar, notó dos objetos: un objeto en forma de huevo de color gris plateado con una brillante luz naranja-roja en la parte superior y unos cuatro pies (1,2 m) de ancho se balanceaba suavemente en el aire a unas 60 yardas (54 m) de distancia. El segundo es una figura humanoide de 7 a 8 pies (2,1-2,4 m) de altura, flotando en el aire con los brazos extendidos y las piernas dobladas hacia atrás como un "paracaidista en caída libre", a unos 35 pies (10,5 m), entre el objeto y el observador.
No se veían rasgos en la cara de esta figura, y vestía un "mono"gris plateado liso. Permaneció inmóvil en el aire durante más de 25 minutos cuando tanto él como el objeto comenzaron a retirarse lentamente, desapareciendo gradualmente de la vista en la distancia.

Cyril John, 64, a former local political leader, was up early for an early start into London when he noticed a light shining in his bedroom window. Looking out he observed two objects, an egg-shaped object of silver gray color with a bright orange-red light on top of it and about four feet across, was rocking gently in the air about 60 yards away; the second was a humanoid figure, about 7 to 8-foot tall, floated in the air with arms out and legs bent back, like a “free fall parachutist,” about 35 feet away, between the object and the observer. No features could be seen on the figure’s face, and it was dressed in a uniformly silver gray “boiler suit.” It remained motionless in the air for more than 25 minutes, when both it and the object began slowly moving off, gradually disappearing from view in the distance.
