El jinete del hipódromo de Epsom, Peter lezer, observó cómo un disco abovedado con borde, brillante y rodeado de una neblina azul, aterrizaba en las colinas cerca del borde del hipódromo.
La criatura, de apariencia humanoide y aproximadamente 5 pies (1,5 m) de altura, salió de la instalación, pero estaba demasiado lejos para ser vista con todos los detalles. En la mano sostenía un arma como una linterna, aunque no emitía un rayo de luz.
Asustado, el testigo huyó del lugar y no vio su salida. La inspección del sitio al día siguiente no encontró rastros.

Epsom racetrack jockey Peter Leather observed a domed disc with a rim, flashing and surrounded by a blue haze, land on the downs near the edge of the racecourse. An entity of humanoid appearance and about 5-feet tall emerged from the object, but was too far away to be seen in any detail. He carried in his hand an implement like a flashlight, although this did not emit a beam of light. Frightened, the witness ran form the area and did not see its departure. Examination of the site the next day disclosed no traces.
